GING Balse is trying to find her old fighting form in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference after two years out.

The two-time V-League MVP made her comeback with Creamline against Adamson on Saturday at The Arena in San Juan.

Balse took a break from volleyball to have a baby after she got married two years ago.

“‘Yung muscle ko talaga, siguro nabigla, ilang years din ata akong nagpahinga,” said the 34-year-old Balse, now mom to little boy Gian.

The former University of Santo Tomas queen Tigress admitted that it will take her some time to get back in shape.

“Syempre matanda na tayo, ‘di pwede sa isang game agad kung ano nilalaro mo mababalik agad, hindi, unti-unti binabalik ‘yun,” she said.

Although she played sparingly in the match that took an hour and 11 minutes, Balse’s presence was a big boost for the Cool Smashers, who beat the Lady Falcons in four.

Balse’s last stint with the V-League was in 2015 with Philippine Army.
