COACH George Pascua is pleased to see Far Eastern University limit its errors, especially against a dangerous team like University of Sto. Tomas.
The Lady Tams committed only 17 miscues in a three-set win, allowing them to trim the error count after several long matches in the UAAP women’s volleyball tournament.
The wins put FEU in a share of No. 2 with La Salle at 5-2.
"Achievement sya sa amin. Achievement yan," Pascua said during the post-game interview.
"Sabi ko nga nung nakaraan basta mabawasan lang yung errors namin, madali nang manalo. Nung mga nakaraan kasi, grabe yung error namin, hindi makatarungan - 43, 39. Sabi ko nung huling interview ko, 20 lang. Naging 17 pa ngayon."
The Lady Tamaraws also had added motivation.
Pascua said the Lady Tamaraws were also eager to get back at the Tigresses, who swept them in their elimination round matches last season.
"Sabi ko nga sa mga player ko kanina, di kami nanalo sa UST last year so kaya naman nating mag-bounce back para talunin sila," he said.
"So follow instructions lang, ganun lang kadali. Then follow lang yung game plan then execute. Na-manage naman."
The Lady Tamaraws have won four straight and Pascua says they will continue to rise if they continue to manage their errors in the next round.
"Ma-maintain lang namin yan. Kung kinakailangang ibaba pa namin, mas madali," he said.
