NATIONAL team coach Francis Vicente still gave a one-week window period for those players who did not show up in the benefit game ‘Clash of Heroes’ on Monday at The Arena in San Juan.
Unlike men’s national coach Sammy Acaylar, who said that those who did not participate are already out of the team, Vicente said he will give Alyssa Valdez of Creamline, Grethcel Soltones of BaliPure and Pocari Sweat tandem Elaine Kasilag and Myla Pablo, Cignal players Jovelyn Gonzaga and Rachel Anne Daquis and F2 Logistics stars Kim Fajardo, Kim Dy, Dawn Macandili and Aby Marano one week to show their intent to join the national team.
Valdez, Soltones, Kasilag and Pablo were prohibited by their club teams in joining the fund-raising event, while Gonzaga and Daquis are on training and Fajardo, Dy, Macandili and Marano were in Batangas for their team building.
“May deliberation na mangyayari. Kumbaga ‘yung pintuan sarado na pero hindi naman siya nakapadlock eh, kakatok ka lang,” said Vicente.

The exhibition match served as the national pool’s last scrimmage before the announcement of the 18-woman lineup for the Southeast Asian Games in Kuala Lumpur on August.
Vicente said they will reveal the 18-woman line up within the week.
The national team coach also said that he talked to Larong Volleyball sa Pilipinas, Inc. vice president Peter Cayco and they will start the deliberation for the final lineup.
“I told Mr. Cayco a while ago that the PSC (Philippine Sports Commission) is already asking the full lineup so within this week the deliberation will start maybe tomorrow we'll start,” he said.
