BINAN — NEC Red Rockets of Japan has yet to drop a set and is a huge favorite over Foton Pilipinas, but its coach believes the home team can put up a good fight on Tuesday in the Asian Women’s Club Volleyball Championship at Alonte Sports Arena.

"Maybe it's gonna be difficult but we're gonna win," said Akinori Yamada through an interpreter.

The match starts at 1:30 p.m.

The top eight after the group stage are playing another round to determine the seedings for the quarterfinals.

"I know some of the players, they are very good, they're offense is very good," said Yamada.

Foton Pilipinas, which finished second in Pool A, and Pool C top seed NEC Red Rockets will tangle at 1:30 p.m.

The Japanese squad scored straight sets wins over Jakarta Electrik of Indonesia and Altay VC of Kazakhstan.

Although Yamada believes Jaja Santiago and Ariel Usher can give his team some problems, he has no doubt the Red Rockets will take the win.
