FORMER Petron import Stephanie Niemer scored 17 service aces to lead Olympiacos past Markopoulo in the Greek Women’s National League on Monday.
Niemer had a total of 26 points in a lopsided match, 25-10, 25-4, 25-11, according to the http://www.cev.lu/CEV-Area/cev.aspx website.
The prolific American spiker was on the service line 15 times in a row, starting from the time when the score was 6-3, in favor of the Olympiacos.
Niemer, however, does not want to gauge her performance by the statistics.
“I do not believe the match against Markopoulo was my best match. I try not to measure games by statistics, but more by the feeling on the court with my teammates,” she said.
“There is always room for improvement in each skill of my game, but it happened to be a good day for serving,” she added.
