SANDRA delos Santos dished out an MVP-like performance as Cagayan Valley dominated Far Eastern University, 25-20, 25-12, 25-21 Sunday in the Shakey’s V League Open Conference at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
Delos Santos, the top player in NCAA Season 87, produced 23 points, including 14 hits, two block points and seven service aces, to lead the Rising Suns.
“I hope Sandra will do the same if not better next time,” said Cagayan coach Mike Rafael.
“It’s still a long way to go. It’s just the first game and there are still a lot of things we need to work on. Hopefully in our next games we’ll be able to do better as the team gels,” he said.
Iris Renee Patrona came up with 12 points for the Lady Tamaraws.
