BANGKOK -- Defending champion USA returned to the Finals after an easy beating of Russia, 25-20, 25-23, 25-14, in the FIVB World Women’s Grand Prix at Huamark Indoor Stadium on Saturday.
The three-peat champion Americans will face seven-time titlist Brazil in the Finals on Sunday.
Rachel Adams and Jordan Larson-Burbach each had 13 and 12 markers for USA, which dominated the tournament from 2010-2012.
“We haven’t played them yet this season and we’ve been working out with a lot of stuff so it’s gonna be a battle I think but we’re early excited for it,” said Hill.
Brazil made short work of Netherlands in their own semis match, 25-18, 25-16, 25-23.
Nataliya Goncharova finished with 14 points for Russia.
Meanwhile, Russia and Netherlands will tangle for the first runner up honors after the classification match of China and Thailand for the fifth place.
