HISAMITSU Springs Kobe eliminated Bangkok Glass from semifinal contention with a 25-14, 25-18, 25-20 victory on Thursday in the FIVB Women's Club World Championship at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Skipper Yumi Nagaoka paced the Japanese with 20 points with 18 kills as Hisamitsu scored its first win, although it is also out of the race for semifinal spots after dropping its first two matches against VakifBank Istanbul and Volero Zurich.
Yuki Ishii scored 13 including the match-clinching attack, while Nana Iwasaka and Maja Tokarska added 10 points apiece for Hisamitsu Springs Kobe.
Thi Ngoc Hoa Nguyen made 11 points for Bangkok Glass, which absorbed its second loss after it bowed to Volero Zurich on the opening day.
Bangkok Glass will face VaikfBank Istanbul on Friday.
