F2 Logistics Manila falls short anew vs Pomi, bows out of FIVB World Club tilt

PSL-F2 Logistics Manila fell in the hands of Pomi Casalmaggiore, 19-25, 15-25, 25-21, in Pool A of the FIVB Women's Club World Championship at the Mall of Asia Arena on Thursday.

Jaja Santiago finished with 11 points, including an emphatic kill that hit the face of a Pomi Casalmaggiore libero, while Lindsay Stalzer and Stephanie Niemer had nine points apice for PSL-F2 Logistics Manila.

The home team, which lost to Rexona Sesc Rio in straight sets in th opening day, remained winless in two games to bow out of the semis race.

PSL-F2 Logistics Manila took a five-point lead, 11-6, in the third set before Pomi Casalmaggiore tied the contest, 21-21, and the Italian squad sealed the match with four straight points.

With the win, Pomi Casalmaggiore sealed its entry to the semis with a 2-1 card. Klara Peric had 22 excellent sets for the Italian club.
