TIJANA Boskovic of Eczacibasi VitrA Istanbul stood out among the world’s best as she was named MVP in the FIVB Women's Club World Championship at the Mall of Asia Arena on Sunday.
The 19-year-old Boskovic, who also bagged the best opposite spiker award, led the Turkish team to back-to-back titles at the expense of Pomi Casalmaggiore, 25-19, 20-25, 25-19, 22-25, 15-11.
Meanwhile, VakifBank Istanbul standout and 2016 Rio Olympics gold medalist and MVP Zhu Ting was named best outside spiker, while Boskovic’s teammate Tatiana Kosheleva took home the second best outside spiker award.
Volero Zurich standout Foluke Akinradewo was the best middle blocker, followed by Milena Easic of VakifBank Istanbul.
Carli Lloyd of Pomi Casalmaggiore was awarded as the best setter and Fabiana Oliveira of Rexona Sesc Rio was named best libero.
