ATENEO and La Salle students and alumni came in droves to the MOA Arena, as expected, but quite a large number of fans from other schools surprisingly braved the long queues to see top volleyball action in Saturday’s title decider of the UAAP women’s volleyball tournament.
A few patrons asked by Spin.ph said they have been in line as early as 10 a.m. to purchase limited upper box and lower box tickets sold at the Marina ticket booth on Saturday.
There were also long lines seen at the Mall of Asia cinema ticket booth on Friday where tickets were also made available on a two-tickets-per-person basis.
Joy of Bulacan said she is watching the UAAP finals for the second straight game after being present in Game Three. But unlike Wednesday where she got a ticket for only 30 minutes, Joy said Game Four tickets are a lot difficult.
“Five hours na akong nasa pila. Last Wednesday, SRO na ako pero 30 minutes lang, nakakuha na agad ako ng ticket,” said Joy.
As expected, scalpers also made a killing for Game Four. According to scalpers asked by Spin.ph, general admission tickets sold at P1,000 and lower box seats at P2,500.
A person who refused to be named said he bought two upper box tickets for P1,500. The male spectator, who is not an Ateneo or La Salle student or alumnus, both tickets for him and his girlfriend, who studies at College of Saint Benilde.
Meanwhile, another girl who refused to be named said she came all the way from Batangas to watch Game Four. However, she is patiently waiting for scalpers to lower their prices before purchasing tickets from the black market.
