FIFI Sharma broke her silence on Tuesday, with the Akari and Alas Pilipinas middle blocker airing out her concerns over the situation surrounding the national team through her Instagram broadcast channel.
Sharma did not mince words as she called on supporters to keep shedding light on what has been happening within the program, saying it hurts to see a promising Alas Pilipinas core now caught in an unsettling situation.

“I hope we continue to spread awareness on everything that’s been happening surrounding the national team,” Sharma wrote on her Instagram broadcast channel on Tuesday.
“This is the closest we’ve ever gotten to having a core and it’s sad to see it fall into the wrong hands.”
She also spoke of the emotional toll on players, saying it has become tough to keep pouring everything into a cause that has not taken care of them the way it should.
“It’s difficult to keep giving your all and fighting for something that consistently fails to take care of you,” she said.
“Passion can carry you far but it shouldn’t be used to justify neglect.”

Still, Sharma made it clear that her statement was rooted not in bitterness, but in love for the national team and gratitude for the fans who have stood by Alas Pilipinas.
“I’ve had my best memories p laying volleyball in the national team, and I’ve never felt love and support like that from you guys!” she wrote.
“That’s why I’m saying this and that’s why I'm hoping things change.”
Sharma’s message quickly added to the growing clamor for answers and accountability over issues hounding Alas Pilipinas, with one of the program’s key players now publicly voicing out what many supporters have long feared.
For Sharma, the frustration cuts deeper because this current pool had looked like the strongest foundation the national team has built in years.
Instead of building on that momentum, however, her message pointed to a program now under heavy scrutiny and a player hoping things are not yet too far gone to fix.
