JOSE Rizal University turned back Mapua, 25-23, 25-18, 20-25, 25-22, in the NCAA Season 93 women’s volleyball tournament on Sunday at The Arena in San Juan.
Dolly Verzosa had 21 points, skipper Shola Alvarez added 15 and Karen Montojo chipped in 12 in the one hour and 39-minute match.
The Lady Bombers copped their second straight win to improve to 4-3 for fourth spot.
Katrina Racelis scored 16 and Jan Morano added 10 points for Mapua, which remained winless in seven outings.
