DE LA Salle opened the 2015 University Games women’s volleyball tournament in Bacolod City with a 25-21, 25-14, 32-34, 15-25, 18-16, over San Beda before a packed crowd at the Bacolod Bay Center.
The Lady Spikers won the tightly-contested match in their opening match of the Unigames with Justine Tiu and Eli Soyud leading the way.
La Salle also fielded its rookie players with May Luna and Michelle Cobb giving a good account of themselves.
The Lady Spikers will next face University of Mindanao-Davao on Tuesday morning at the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos Gym.
