LA Salle bagged its first UAAP women's beach volleyball title under the scorching hot sun on Wednesday, turning back top-seeded Far Eastern University, 21-15, 25-13, at MOA Sands by the Bay.

The Lady Spikers duo of Kim Fajardo and Cyd Demecillo swept Lady Tams pair Bernadeth Pons and Kyla Atienza in a best-of-three Finals, taking the opener, 21-17, 16-21, 15-12, earlier in the day.

"Sobrang saya, sobrang sarap. Worth it lahat ng pagod, ng init as in worth it, worth it," said Demecillo, who with Ara Galang placed second to UST last year

"Masarap kasi nabawi namin 'yung last year," she added.

It was a very strong finish for La Salle, considering it needed to play three sets against Ateneo’s Alyssa Valdez and Bea Tan in the morning semifinals before the two matches against FEU.

Fajardo could not hide her delight in getting a revenge of sort against Ateneo.

"Masaya kasi sila (Ateneo) sa indoor (kami sa beach) meron kaming laban lahat," said Fajardo.
