La Salle Lady Spikers make short work of EAC-A to reach PNG volleyball quarterfinals

LA Salle notched its second win in as many matches, beating Emilio Aguinaldo College-A, 25-19, 25-9, 25-17, on Monday to reach the quarterfinals of the Philippine National Games (PNG) women’s volleyball at the Arellano law school gym in Manila.

The Ramil De Jesus-mentored Lady Spikers beat Jose Rizal University in three sets in their debut on Sunday.

La Salle faces the Group D second placer in the quarterfinals set on Wednesday at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

In other matches, Philippine Superliga side Philips Gold beat Letran, 25-13, 25-11, 25-15, for its second win.

Cebu outplayed EAC-B, 25-17, 25-18, 25-13, while Eulogio Amang Rodriguez Institute of Technology (Earist) downed St. Dominic Savio College, 25-17, 25-17, 25-20.

University of the East beat Mapua, 25-17, 25-13, 25-23 for a 2-0 slate in Group D.
