LA Salle beat College of Saint Benilde, 25-20, 22-25, 25-23, 25-21, in the opener of the Spikers’ Turf Season 2 Collegiate Conference on Saturday at the Ynares Sports Arena.
Raymark Woo led the Green Archers with 24 points, while Mike Frey added 16 points.
New La Salle head coach Nes Pamilar was pleased with the players’ energy, but noted they have yet to fit their game to his system.
“Maganda kasi excited pa ang mga players ngayon, pero nandun pa kami sa nag-aadjust. Maraming kailangan i-adjust para masunod yung sistemang gusto namin,” Pamilar said.
Johnvic De Guzman had 27 points and Philip Bagalay added 11 markers for the Blazers.
La Salle will face Perpetual Help on August 6, while CSB will face Far Eastern University on August 10 at Philsports Arena in Pasig.
