LA Salle tries to end a two-match skid as the Lady Spikers battle the University of the East Lady Red Warriors on Saturday in the UAAP Season 81 women’s volleyball tournament on Saturday at the Arena in San Juan.

The Lady Archers, tied for third at 3-2 after losses to University of the Philippines and University of Sto. Tomas, look to get back on track as it faces the cellar-dwelling Lady Red Warriors at 2 p.m.

Coach Ramil de la Cruz hopes to get better performances from the Lady Spikers after a seven-point performance from star Desiree Cheng.

UST, meanwhile, tries to score a follow-up to its win over La Salle as the Tigresses face the skidding NU Lady Bulldogs.

Tigresses rookie Eya Laure renews her rivalry against former high school foes and now Lady Bulldogs Ivy Lacsina, Princess Robles and Jennifer Nierva.

UST is playing its second match without Milena Alessandrini, out due to a torn ACL.

Tigresses coach Kungfu Reyes says it will not be an easy match against rookie-laden NU.

“Siguro pagtitibayin pa namin sa hanggang maging consistent. Hindi naman pwede maging complacement kasi tignan mo naman ‘yung standings na everybody’s game,” Reyes said. “Pantay-pantay na ang labanan. Kung sino ang mas gusto manalo, so sigurado na siya ‘yung magwawagi kasi pare-parehas lang tayo. So doon kami sa right path pa rin.”
