COLLEGE of St. Benilde dealt Arellano University its first loss of the NCAA Season 93 women’s volleyball tournament, 25-21, 25-20, 19-25, 25-12, on Monday at The Arena in San Juan.
Skipper Ranya Musa scored 17 points, Rachel Anne Austero added 15, while Marites Pablo and Klarisa Abriam chipped in 13 markers apiece.
The Lady Blazers halted the Lady Chiefs’ winning run at seven. CSB is now at 4-3.
Although it was a close contest in attacks, 46-42, CSB dominated the blocking department, 10-4, and service aces, 11-4, in the one-hour and 46-minute match.
Jovielyn Prado scored 14 and Necole Euben added 12 for Arellano.
