CREAMLINE still has a chance to rewrite its own history even after missing out on back-to-back PVL Finals for the first time in eight years.
The Cool Smashers secured their spot in the 2025 PVL Invitational bronze medal game on Thursday by virtue of Cignal and ZUS Coffee’s losses to Kobe Shinwa University and PLDT, respectively.

Although an unlikely loss to ZUS Coffee can still draw Creamline level with Cignal at 1-4 (win-loss), the 10-time PVL champions already have a superior match points total at eight with one game to spare.
Cignal only had seven match points after its five preliminary-round games.
As such, Creamline will take on the loser of Friday’s prelims finale between Chery Tiggo and Kobe Shinwa for the bronze medal.
If the Cool Smashers get the win on Sunday, they will extend their indubitable record of landing on a PVL podium in every single PVL tournament to have ever been staged since the league’s inception in 2017.
The streak that currently stands at 18 in a row after winning bronze in the PVL on Tour can be stretched to 19 in three days’ time.
That would be Creamline’s fifth PVL bronze and second in a row which they can potentially add to its unrivaled silverware collection that also has 10 titles and four silver medals.
