ALYSSA Valdez is urging Creamline not to dwell on the losses, saying the players just need to work on their game as they prepare for the next phase of the eliminations of the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference.
The Cool Smashers absorbed another loss on Tuesday, bowing to league-leading BaliPure for their sixth loss in nine outings.
No team will be eliminated after the first phase, with the top two teams advancing to the semifinals outright and the next four playing another round-robin for the remaining two semis spots.
Creamline is running fifth in the six-team field, just above Air Force (1-8).
“More of the loss we are looking at the improvement of lahat ng mga players din sa team namin,” said Valdez, playing despite a right ankle injury.
“More than the win kailangan naming maglaro as a team,” she said.
The Cool Smashers, led by Thai import Kuttika Keawpin and American reinforcement Laura Schaudt, will face the Perlas Spikers on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at The Arena in San Juan, giving them another chance to back on track before the next round robin.
