VOLLEYBALL stunner Cha Cruz blushes each time each time she is asked about a striking resemblance to popular teen actress Kathryn Bernardo.
The former La Salle star, 27, tries her best to shy away from the topic, though she admit she is flattered to be compared with one of the most famous actresses in the Philippines today.
“Hala! Nakakahiya naman ‘yun. Baka sa pictures lang. Parang… hindi kaya, ang ganda nun e,” the volleyball star stammers. “Nakakahiya, siyempre sobrang flattered (ako).”
“Nakakatuwa na siyempre kino-compare. Kathryn Bernardo ‘yun no,” she added.
At the same time, the soft-spoken Philippine Super Liga ambassadress said she isn't sure if the “Teen Queen” or her horde of fans will be happy with comparison.
“Nakakatuwa kasi siyempre nagagandahan din ako sa kanya pero naisip ko baka kung makarating ‘to sa kanya tapos malaman niya na kino-compare kami, baka sabihin niya na, “Ay, ‘yan lang ba?”
"Baka ma-disappoint ba? Parang something like that,” said Cruz.
Regardless if the comparison is justified or not, there's bno doubt Cruz is one of the most popular volleyball stars at the moment. She is set to see action nerxt in the PSL Grand Prix on October 10, where she will join former and current players of La Salle.
