SAN Sebastian import Jeng Bualee emerged as the top scorer after the eliminations of the Shakey’s V-League Season 10 First Conference.
The Thai spiker finished with a 105-hit clip, including 95 spikes and five service aces, as she stormed past erstwhile leader Dindin Santiago of National University, who ended up with 95 points, highlighted by 72 kills.
Arellano’s Mary Jean Balse placed third with 65, while Ateneo’s top hitter Alyssa Valdez and NU’s Myla Pablo both posted 63 hits.
Adamson’s Pau Soriano was the league’s best spiker at the end of the preliminaries with 53.41 percent success from 47 out of 88 attempts.
Pablo came in second with 53 of 106 for a 50 percent clip.
As a unit, NU led the league in spikes with a 38.50-percent success rate, making 226 spikes out of 587 attempts, as it edged out UST, which made 184 spikes out of 511 tries for a 36.01 percent norm.
On the other hand, UST came out as the top blocking team with a 2.85 average by set, nipping Adamson, which had 2.43, and La Salle-Dasma (2.00).
