BRYAN Bagunas scored 30 points as Go for Gold-Air Force edged PLDT Home Fibr, 24-26, 25-23, 23-25, 25-21, 15-6, in the Spikers’ Turf Reinforced Conference on Tuesday at Paco Arena.
After missing several matches to try out for Oita Miyoshi in the Japan V.League, Bagunas returned to help Air Force move to second place with a 5-1 win-loss record.
Bagunas put up 26 attacks, two blocks, and two aces.
Ranran Abdilla scored 26.
“Itong fifth set na lang kasi medyo binwenas ‘yung jump serve ni Abdilla, so lumayo. Pero kung titignan mo ‘yung laro, halos the same di kami naglalayo ni PLDT,” said Air Force head coach Rhovyl Verayo.

With Marck Espejo playing only in the third set finishing with three points as he just returned from a Japan trip together with libero Manuel Sumanguid, skipper Ysay Marasigan stepped up for the HD Spikers with 12 markers built on eight attacks, two blocks and two aces, while Peter Torres added nine markers.

Tony Koyfman had 13 points, Jeremy Merat scored 10 and Pemmy Bagalay added eight for VNS, which slid to seventh spot with a 2-5 record.
PJ Rojas delivered 21 points as Army escaped Navy, 25-19, 19-25, 25-21, 20-25, 15-12.
Kurl Rosete and Greg Dolor had 13 points apiece for Navy, which slipped to a tie for sixth with Sta. Elena at 4-3.
