NATIONAL University swept the elimination round and handed Emilio Aguinaldo College its first loss, 25-20, 25-21, 27-25, on Monday in the Spikers’ Turf Collegiate Conference at The Arena in San Juan.
Bryan Bagunas had 11 points, while Francis Saura and Kim Malabunga added nine markers apiece as NU scored its fifth win in as many matches.
Eldrige Capal and Madzlan Gampong came in support with a combined 12-point output for the Bulldogs, who romped to their fifth consecutive win in as many games.
Howard Mojica led the way, as usual, EAC, scoring 22 points as the Generals dropped to second with a 4-1 win-loss card.
