BRAZILIAN coach Jorge Edson Souza de Brito has arrived in the country of the Philippine women’s volleyball team campaign in the 21st Asian Senior Women’s Volleyball Championship.
Souza de Brito arrived on Wednesday and will be in quarantine until July 31.
The Brazilian coach, expected to be in charge of the women’s Philippine volleyball team for two years, will work with coach Odjie Mamon to oversee the 16-member pool in another bubble training set to start on Aug. 1 in Batangas
The Philippines was drawn with Kazakhstan, Chinese-Taipei and Uzbekistan in Pool A of the eight-team continental championship starting on August 29 at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center in San Fernando, Pampanga.
Thailand, South Korea, Iran and Australia are in Pool B.

Eya Laure, Faith Nispero, Ivy Lacsina, Mhicaela Belen, Jennifer Nierva, Kamille Cal, Alyssa Solomon, Imee Hernandez and Bernadett Pepito started training in the Ilocos Norte training bubble on July 1 and the team just recently broke camp.
Majoy Baron, Aby Marano and Iris Tolenada missed the Laoag bubble training, while Ria Meneses, Mylene Paat and Dell Palomata are playing in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference.
PNVF previously said four players will be added to the pool.
