    Blazers dethrone Altas to rule NCAA men's beach volleyball meet

    COLLEGE of St. Benilde dethroned University of Perpetual Help, 21-13, 21-17, to win the title in the 89th NCAA men's beach volleyball tournament on Saturday at White Beach, Puerto Galera.

    “Sobrang saya, sobrang sarap sa pakiramdam kasi natalo namin defending champion,” said John Vic De Guzman, who teamed up with Marjun Alinsangan  for the Blazers.

    De Guzman was also named Most Valuable Player of the tournament.

    “Lahat ng pagod at effort para paghandaan namin ang laban na 'to nagbunga ng maganda,” he added.

    Perpetual Help was composed of the pair of Jay dela Cruz and Rey Taneo Jr.
