COLLEGE of St. Benilde arranged a best-of-three title showdown with defending champion Perpetual Help with a straight-sets win over Arellano University on Tuesday in the NCAA Season 92 men’s volleyball tournament.
The Blazers had a tough start but quickly found their rhythm and scored a 27-25, 25-20, 25-14 to dispose of the Chiefs.
St. Benilde is back in the finals after placing second in Season 90.
Skipper John Vic de Guzman poured in 15 points with 14 kills.
“Kapag alanganin na hindi na makapalo si John Vic talaga mag-step up na si Arda sa backline which is nangyari naman kanina,” said CSB coach Aaron Velez.
Christian de la Paz scored nine points, while John Cabillan, Kevin Liberato and skipper Benrasid Latip combined for 21 points for Arellano.
