FAR Eastern Univetsity forced a rubber match for the title, downing erstwhile unbeaten University of Santo Tomas, 17-21, 21-17, 15-13, on Sunday in their second encounter in the best-of-three finals of the UAAP Season 79 women's beach volleyball tournament at the MOA Sands by the Bay.
FEU’s Bernadeth Pons and Kyla Atienza stopped UST’s Cherry Rondina and Jem Gutierrez, who had scored eight consecutive victories.
The title decider is set later on Sunday.
