FAR Eastern University ace spiker Bernadeth Pons looks forward to a more productive 2015 as she bids to leave all her bad habits behind.
The hard-hitting sophomore who has been taking charge for the Lady Tams this season, is keen on improving both her game and her studies.
Sana next year mag-improve ako kasi isa ako sa inaasahan ng team,” said Pons, who is currently ranked third in scoring in the UAAP women’s volleyball tournament behind Ara Galang of La Salle (105) and Ateneo’s Alyssa Valdez (81).
“At sana sa studies, mas maging masipag pa,” she added with a playful laugh.
But the financial management student also had good memories from the year which she hopes to carry over to 2015.
Although she wasn’t able to celebrate the holidays with her family due to team practices, the pride of Negros Occidental is thankful for the scholarship provided by her school and for keeping her family free from worry.
Pero thankful ako dahil nag-champion kami sa (Shakey’s) V-League,” she said.
FEU will get back in action on January 10 when it takes on University of Santo Tomas.
