BanKo Perlas remained unscathed in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) round-robin quarterfinals after surviving Iriga-Navy in a five-set thriller, 25-17, 23-25, 28-26, 22-25, 15-12 on Wednesday at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan Wednesday.
Jutarat Montripila exploded for 37 points on 31 attacks including a booming crosscourt kill to ice the game for good.
Banko Perlas improved to 3-0 as the Oragons officially bowed out of the tournament with a 1-3 record.
Kia Bright also had a huge game for Banko Perlas as she added 24 points, while Amy Ahomiro and Nicole Tiamzon added 10 and nine respectively.
A win for Banko Perlas will move them to the semifinals, with Balipure and PetroGazz waiting on the wings for them.
Macy Ubbben and Laruen Whyte finished with 27 points apiece in a losing effort for the Oragons.
