BINAN — Defending champion Bangkok Glass of Thailand dominated Sarmayeh Bank of Iran, 25-17, 25-12, 25-15, on Monday to sweep Pool B of the 2016 AVC Asian Women's Club Championship at Alonte Sports Arena.
Team captain Pleumjit Thinkaow scored 13 points for Bangkok Glass, which needed only one hour and 19 minutes to take the win.
Wilavan Apinyapong and Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hoa added nine markers each for Thailand, which scored 38 on attacks against 22 by the Iranian side.
Bangkok Glass hold a 2-0 win-loss record entering the classification round to determine the quarterfinal seedings.
Farnoosh Sheikhi scored nine points for Iran, which holds a 1-1 record and will also see action in the quarterfinals.
