Coach Roger Gorayeb urges BaliPure players to raise their game to keep title hopes alive

Jun 12, 2017
Coach Roger Gorayeb says that the only adjustment the Water Defenders need to work on right now is their attitude on the court.

BALIPURE hopes to come up with a much bore balanced offense this time as they try to keep their title hopes alive against Pocari Sweat on Tuesday in the second match of the best-of-three Premier Volleyball League finals at the PhilSports Arena.

Former San Sebastian star Grethcel Soltones scored 17 and Thai import Jeng Bualee added 16 in a four-set loss in the series opener.

Coach Roger Gorayeb urges his players to raise their game, with Jennifer Keddy and Risa Sato among those expected to deliver for Balipure this time.

The Water Defenders could not penetrate as Pocari Sweat put on a strong and solid defense at the net for a total of 15 blocks against nine of BaliPure.

The former national team mentor noted that the only adjustment they need to work on is their attitude on the court.

BaliPure placed third in the 2016 V-League Open and Reinforced Conferences.
