AWRA Briguela and the Lady Spikers survived sudden death against the Lady Setters, 25-20, 22-25, 25-18, in the 2024 Star Magic All Star Games on Sunday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

A 9-0 Lady Spikers run from 7-all in the deciding third set proved decisive as the Lady Setters averted a late meltdown through Briguela's clutch hits.
Briguela, who was named the match's best hitter, fired a game-high 23 points built on 22 attacks and one block.
Four-time All Star Game MVP and best receiver Analain Salvador had 11 attack points to rule the celebrity showpiece on both ends for the champion side.
The Lady Spikers were backed by Premier Volleyball League (PVL) ace duo Celine Domingo and Dani Ravena, who took on different roles in the celebrity match as opposite hitter and setter, respectively.
Domingo came in clutch for the Lady Spikers in the third-set tiebreak with nine points on five aces, three attacks and one block as Ravena added two markers.
On the other end, Mikha Lim of the 'nation's girl group' BINI received the loudest cheers from the Big Dome crowd as she was feted best setter with two aces.
Alas Pilipinas' Fifi Sharma took a detour from national team duties and carried the Lady Setters' scoring load with 14 points on 10 attacks and four aces.
Former University of the East ace Erin Navarro racked up 11 points on nine attacks, one block and one ace in the losing effort.
Rounding out the awardees were best libero Leona Andalio and mythical six members Briguela, Lim, Anji Salvacion, Vivoree Escoto, Reign Parani and Janna Zambran.
