ATENEO looks to score its fourth win in as many matches when it takes on La Salle-Dasmariñas on Sunday in the Shakey's V-League First Conference on Sunday at the Arena in San Juan.
The Lady Eagles had earlier secured a spot in the quarterfinals but are not expected to drop their guard against the Lady Patriots, who hold a 1-1 win-loss card and could also secure a place in the next phase with a win.
Gametime is at 4 p.m.
Meanwhile, Adamson and Arellano try to boost their quarterfinal bids when they collide in the other match.
The Lady Falcons hold a 1-1 win-loss record and are hoping to climb up from third spot in Group B. They have recently been training without star players Pau Soriano and Bhebs Pineda, who are seeing action in a beach volleyball tournament in Boracay, but the two are expected to arrive in time for the match at 2 p.m.
Adamson and Arellano (2-1) play in different collegiate leagues, but frequently hold tuneup matches.
"Lagi naman namin sila ka-tune up pero syempre iba na pag nasa game," said Arellano coach Roberto Javier.
"Doon na ilalabas ang tunay na style sa laro."
Javier noted that his team is learning a lot in the league and from guest players Mary Jean Balse and Nene Bautista.
"Malaking bagay talaga sa amin 'yung dalawa (guest players)," he said. "Gina-guide nila lagi yung mga regular players ko."
