ATENEO’S win over Adamson left much to be desired and skipper Maddie Madayag noted the Lady Eagles are far from where they want to be at this stage of the tournament.
“Mga C+,” Madayag said when asked to evaluate the Lady Eagles' performance against the Lady Falcons on Wednesday at The Arena in San Juan.
“Kasi nawawala sa focus especially pag nagkakamali ‘yung team namin, ’di na masyado nakakapuntos, at saka receive talaga,” she said.
Still, Madayag sees the level of play getting better, and the Lady Eagles have extended their win streak to three after two losses to start the season.
“‘Yun naman talaga ‘yung problema namin ever since pero we’re working on it and obviously it’s evident naman na nag-iimprove rin,” she added.
Madayag had 14 points, including the game-winning block on Adamson hitter Chiara Permentilla.
Ateneo takes on University of the Philippines on Sunday before their final match of the first round against La Salle on March 3.
