ATENEO downed Far Eastern University, 25-22, 25-19, 25-15, on Wednesday for its third win in as many matches in the UAAP women's volleyball tournament at the MOA Arena.
The Lady Eagles extended their winning streak to 21 matches dating to the 2014 finals.
Alyssa Valdez scored 15 points, while sophomores Maddie Madayag and Jhoana Maraguinot added 11 and 10 markers, respectively, for the Lady Eagles.
It was a quick win, but Valdez stressed they could have done much better.
“As a new team consistency talaga ’yung kailangan namin i-focus,” she said.
“And ’yung maturity ng team, kasi nakikita every set siguro na syempre may weaknesses and pagkukulang pa kami as a team.”
Second year FEU spikers Toni Rose Basas and Jerrili Malabanan combined for 22 points.
FEU has lost 13 straight matches to the Lady Eagles, since Season 71 with then Lady Tams queen Rachel Anne Daquis.
