ATENEO coach Tai Bundit bid UAAP farewell after five years with the Lady Eagles.
The Thai mentor called the shots for the last time as Ateneo lost to Far Eastern University in the semifinals of the Season 80 women’s volleyball tournament on Saturday at the MOA Arena.
“Yes,” said Bundit when asked if it was his last game, saying it was the end of his contract.
Bundit steered Ateneo to back-to-back championships in Seasons 76 and 77, runner-up finishes in Seasons 78 and 79 before reaching the semis this season as the No. 3 seeds.
Bundit said he is pleased with the performance of the young squad.
“Ateneo did really good already, they have top-three. We have new setter, we have new libero, but we can go Final Four. Very good for me already,” he said.
Bundit said he is also pleased to return to Thailand to be with his family.
“Very happy. I can go meet my family,” he said.
