ATENEO completed a season sweep of La Salle in the UAAP volleyball tournament with a 25-18, 19-25, 25-17, 25-17 victory on Wednesday at the Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
The Blue Eagles beat the Green Spikers, 25-16, 28-26, 25-22, on Saturday.
Marck Espejo fired 22 points, while Karl Baysa added 10 as the Blue Eagles took solo lead with a 7-1 win-loss record,
Far Eastern University and National University are at 6-1.
La Salle is tied with UP and University of Santo Tomas with a 3-5 record.
Rjay Onia had 15 points for La Salle.
Meanwhile, University of the Philippines made short work of University of Sto. Tomas, 28-26, 25-18, 25-23.
Wendel Miguel and John Milette had 16 and 14 points, respectively, as UP handed UST its fourth straight defeat.
Joshua Umandal paced the Tigers with 15 markers.
