ATENEO downed Adamson, 25-21, 25-12, 25-22, on Saturday to forge a four-way logjam in second place in the 76th UAAP women's volleyball tournament at The Arena in San Juan.

Alyssa Valdez poured in 17 points from 15 spikes, one block and one service ace, while A Ahomiro added 12 for the Lady Eagles.

After losing its opening match, the Katipunan-based squad has won back-to-back matches, it earlier defeated FEU, and has improved its win-loss record to 2-1. That forged a four-way tie for second with University of Santo Tomas, National University, and Far Eastern University.

Bhebs Pineda was the lone Lady Falcon who scored in double figures with 15 points.

Adamson slid to sixth spot with a 1-2 card.
