Kazakhstan eases past Maldives to advance to battle for ninth in Asian U23 Women's Volley meet

KAZAKHSTAN beat Maldives, 25-10, 25-4, 25-8, on Monday in the classification round for ninth to 12th places of the 2015 Asian Under-23 Women’s Volleyball Championship at the Philsports Arena.

The Kazakhs took command of the match with Anastassiya Rostovchshikova and Aliya Batkuldina finishing with a team-high nine points each.

Rostovchshikova had seven attacks while Batkuldina got three blocks to overwhelm Maldives and move to the battle-for-ninth place where they will face either Macau or Uzbekistan on Tuesday.

The battle-for-ninth will be held on Friday.
