JAPAN whipped Iran, 25-13, 25-7, 25-15, to stay unbeaten and top Pool E on Tuesday in the 2015 Asian Under-23 Women’s Volleyball Championship at the Philsports Arena.
Misaki Yamauchi scored 18 points, while Arisa Inoue added 17 for Japan improved to 3-0.
Yamauchi had four of Japan’s seven blocks in the match that lasted one hour and nine minutes.
Japan hit five service aces against none by Iran, which committed 24 errors.
The Japanese will face India, which was beaten in straight sets by Korea.
Neda Chamlanian scored eight points, while skipper Mahsa Saberi chipped in seven for Iran
