KOREA downed Uzbekistan, 25-17, 25-8, 25-7, on Saturday to open its campaign in the 2015 Asian Under-23 Women’s Volleyball Championship at the Philsports Arena.
Lee Soyung and Go Yerim had 18 points apiece for the Koreans, who joined Thailand on top of Pool D with a 1-0 card.
Uzbekistan was relegated to the classification round after a 0-2 record in group play.
