JAPAN drubbed Maldives, 25-4, 25-11, 25-3, on Friday to cap Day One action in the 2015 Asian Under-23 Women’s Volleyball Championship at the Philsports Arena.
The Japanese spikers, one of the top contenders for the Under-23 title, led Maldives, 20-0, in the third set.
Japan will face Chinese Taipei in Pool C action on Friday as it goes for a spot in the second round.
