India makes short work of Macau in opening match of Asian Under-23 Women's Volleyball Championship

INDIA beat Macau, 25-10, 25-14, 25-19, on Friday to open hostilities in the Asian Under-23 Women’s Volleyball Championship at the Philsports Arena.

Nirmala scored 17 points and Muraleedharan Shyamala Poornina added 13 as India completed the first match in Pool A in just one hour and 12 minutes.

India will next face powerhouse China on Saturday.
