ARELLANO University advanced to the semifinals of the 88th NCAA women’s volleyball tournament with a 23-25, 25-18, 25-14, 25-17 win over Letran at The Arena in San Juan Monday.

Menchie Tubiera led the Lady Chiefs with 21 points on 15 spikes, one block, and five service aces, while Danna Henson came through with 12 markers from 11 hits and one block as Arellano (6-3) completed the Final Four cast.

Arellano will join Emilio Aguinaldo, San Sebastian, and defending champion University of Perpetual Help in the Final Four.

Melissa Cu finished with 13 points on top of 10 attacks, two blocks and one service ace, while Sarah Jane Espelita added 11, all from spikes, and Mikaela Lopez contributed 10 for Letran, which ended their campaign with a 3-8 record.
