ALYSSA Valdez looks forward to rejoin the women’s national volleyball pool in the Philippine leg of Southeast Asian Grand Prix from October 4 to 6 in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.

But she hopes that there will be no conflicts in the schedule between her mother club, Creamline and Premier Volleyball League with the Larong Volleyball Sa Pilipinas Inc.

“I guess we have to work hand in hand siguro sa scheduling din kasi ngayon lang din ni-release e,” Valdez told the reporters. “Hopefully, makapagusap usap na 'yung mga management and the LVPI para mas maganda 'yung magiging result, hopefully. Philippines team mainstay Jovelyn Gonzaga has a game for Pacifictown-Army against Petro Gazz on the same day.

For Valdez, the three-time PVL MVP, she wants to play for the country in those tourneys but it’s still up to her management, league and LVPI.

The former Ateneo star missed the Thailand training and won’t be seeing action in the first leg of Southeast Asian Grand Prix in Korat due to her right ankle injury.

As she continues to recover and hoping to be cleared next week, Valdez wishes all the best for the national pool in their first pocket tourney together.
