VOLLEYBALL superstar Alyssa Valdez knows she has a lot to be thankful for in this holiday season - an accomplished career, a loving family, and supportive fans.
But the girl who has everything has one fervent wish this Christmas - not for herself, really, but for boyfriend Kiefer Ravena.
“Christmas wish ko is, I really wanna see Kiefer play (in the US) and pursue his dreams,” said Valdez when asked by SPIN.ph what she still wants this Christmas season.
The popular couple, of course, are thousands of miles apart, with Ravena currently training with the Texas Legends, the NBA D-League affiliate of the Dallas Mavericks, as a developmental player.
As much as she misses her beau, the volleyball darling gives her 110 percent support.
“Hindi siya makakauwi sa Pasko eh, syempre importante ‘yun sa kanya, ako na lang ang pupunta sa kanya,” said Valdez with a laugh.
Ravena's family - dad Bong, mom Mozzy, brother Thirdy and sister Dani - is currently keeping the former King Eagle company in Dallas.
Who knows? Someone may yet follow suit.
