YES, even the star is starstruck.

Young actress Angelica Panganiban watched and later on personally met with Ateneo volleyball stalwart Alyssa Valdez shortly after the Lady Eagles booked a finals berth in the UAAP Season 77 women’s volleyball finals following their four-set win over rival La Salle Lady Spikers.

Wearing a ‘Team Alyssa’ blue T-shirt, Panganiban wandered at the Mall of Asia Arena press room where Valdez was doing her post-game interview.

Shortly after, Valdez approached Panganiban, one of her popular and avid fans, and the two spoke briefly before gamely posing for pictures for mediamen.

When a reporter informed Valdez about Panganiban’s presence in the press room, the Ateneo spiker said, “We are happy that na-inspire din namin ‘yung mga stars. It’s really rare na bigyan nila kami ng time na manood.”

Valdez also admitted she already watched Panganiban’s latest movie, That Thing Called Tadhana.

“Of course,” said Valdez when asked if she had watched the movie. “Grabe, panoorin niyo na lang.”
