ALYSSA Solomon added another SEA V.Cup individual award to her collection and, this time, joined elite company in the tournament's record books.
The Alas Pilipinas Women standout was named Best Opposite Spiker of Leg 1 of the 6th SEA V.Cup on Sunday, marking the third time she has received the citation.
Solomon previously earned the same distinction in Leg 2 of the 2023 edition before repeating the feat in Leg 2 in 2024.

Her latest plum puts her alongside Vietnam's Nguyen Thi Bích Tuyen as the only three-time winners of the Best Opposite Spiker award in the tournament's seven-year history.
Her latest plum makes her the most decorated opposite hitter in the tournament’s seven-year run, with no other player in the position having earned the citation three times.
It also puts Solomon in a class of her own among Filipinas recognized individually in the regional competition.
Of the eight Philippine players to have received individual awards in SEA V.Cup history, Solomon is the first to win the same citation three times.
Majoy Baron is the only other Filipina to repeat in one category, having been named Best Middle Blocker in both legs of the inaugural edition in 2019.
Solomon's latest individual honor came even as Alas Women endured a winless first tournament leg under new head coach Taka Minowa.
The Nationals went 0-3 against Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia to wound up last in the four-team field, ending their run of four consecutive bronze-medal finishes since 2024.
Solomon and the Nationals get another crack at the same regional opposition when the SEA V.Cup moves to Chiang Mai, Thailand for Leg 2 from August 7 to 9.
